2 Scottish university tells students from ‘different countries’ to stop pooping in trash cans

The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow is in damage-control mode after an email from its Technology and Innovation Center chastised students and staff from “different countries” for defecating in the school’s showers and garbage cans.

The email, sent Thursday by the TIC’s operations management team, cited complaints from school janitors who have been tasked with cleaning up after the poopetrators.

“Given the incidence of people pooing in bins, showers and the likes – can I please remind all TIC occupants that the toilets have been provided for that specific purpose,” read the email, obtained by The Telegraph.

The email blamed multiculturalism for the ongoing problem, saying bathroom etiquette (or lack thereof) can vary from country to country.

“All bodily fluids, solids and toilet paper must be disposed of down the toilet,” it stated. “While I appreciate that the TIC population is multi-cultural and different countries have different practices, here in the UK the accepted practice is to use only the WC.”

A university spokeswoman later apologized for the email, saying the school is “taking steps to ensure that all future communications are appropriate and are consistent with our ethos.”

“We have apologized for any offense caused to colleagues,” the spokeswoman told Glasgow Live. “The email contained sentiments that are completely contrary to our institutional values and should not have been sent. It was recalled as soon as it came to our attention and we swiftly issued an apology to staff.”

The email was sent to roughly 400 students and 250 staff members.

The university didn’t say who was behind the email or whether that person would face disciplinary action.

Still, it appears the public defecation struggle at Strathclyde is very real.

“This building houses some of the most intelligent brains in the world – yet they don’t appear to know how to use the toilet,” an inside source told Metro. “The cleaners are sick of coming across poo and used toilet paper in places it just shouldn’t be.”

0 Sick lefties celebrate father’s death after elephant crushes him on African hunt

  • May 23, 2017
  • by Jessica Chasmar
  • · Blog Posts · News

Depraved leftists across the globe are celebrating the death of a father of five who was crushed to death by an elephant during a big game hunt Friday in Zimbabwe.

Theunis Botha, owner of a South Africa-based safari company named Big Game Safaris and Hounds, was killed while on a licensed hunt with a client near Hwange National Park, the same park where Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer sparked an international uproar in 2015 after he fatally shot “Cecil” the lion.

Botha and his client were hunting when Botha “unknowingly” walked into a herd of elephants, a Zimbabwe wildlife official told the Associated Press. It’s unclear what the men were hunting for when they came across the breeding herd.

Unnamed sources told Netwerk24 that four elephant cows charged at the hunters, and one of the elephants managed to lift Botha off the ground with her trunk. The client then reportedly shot the animal, causing her to collapse on top of Botha, crushing him to death.

The lifelong hunter, 51, left behind a wife and five children in the South African town of Tzaneen.

The story is tragic, but not to crazed leftists who value animals’ rights over the unborn, or now, the born who dare to hunt.

Botha’s 21-year-old daughter, Carmen, posted several photos on Facebook memorializing her father, but her account has since been deleted or made private, presumably due to the harassment she’s received since the story went viral.

Entertainment website Heavy.com said Botha “got a taste of his own medicine.”

A headline by Yahoo7 News blared, “Big-Game Hunter Crushed To Death As Dying Elephant Takes Revenge.”

Global Animal, an online news magazine, lectured, “[N]o matter where you stand, let this tragic incident serve as a reminder of the power of Mother Nature and the risks associated with this cruel sport.”

“I’m not that broken up on it,” quipped The Young Turks’ Cenk Uygur. “If you brag about how you’re a tough guy hunter your whole life and you get crushed by an elephant, well OK, in some ways it retroactively made your bragging worth it.”

“I’m more sad about the two elephants that were shot,” his female co-host chimed in. (Botha reportedly shot at another elephant before he was blindsided by the one that killed him.)

But that’s not even getting into the bowels of assholery that is Twitter:

@RawStory gee,I am so sad- NOT!

My heart is filled with joy at the news of the hunter crushed to death by the elephant.😍

Aww poop elephant 😔. I’m glad the Hunter is dead though. One less dickhead to worry about. https://t.co/9EDYSqRNNE

I’ve had just about enough of people dancing on the graves of others due to their own political agendas. We’ve seen it enough today in light of the Manchester terrorist attack. People will stop at nothing to publicly place blame and spew hatred in a desperate attempt to feel validated.

There are no reports that say what Botha was hunting, but whatever it was, it was legal, and he paid the ultimate price for it. While liberals froth at the mouth to stories like this, a family somewhere is grieving a devastating loss.

0 Jerry Brown, Calif. governor, blasts Trump-supporting taxpayers as ‘freeloaders’

  • May 22, 2017

  • · Blog Posts · News

In a news item conveniently overlooked by the liberal media, California Gov. Jerry Brown is having a “basket of deplorables” moment among his state’s conservatives.

As reported by The Washington Times, the Democratic governor earlier this month described taxpayers who opposed his newly signed $52.4 billion transportation and infrastructure funding package, which hikes the gas tax by 12 cents a gallon, as “freeloaders.”

“The freeloaders — I’ve had enough of them,” Mr. Brown told The Orange County Register on May 12. “They have a president that doesn’t tell the truth, and they’re following suit.”

This is coming from the governor of a state whose “freeloading” taxpayers recently footed the bill for Shiloh Heavenly Quine, a 57-year-old convicted murderer, to receive sex-reassignment surgery while serving out a life sentence behind bars.

This is coming from the same governor who last year vetoed legislation that would have fully repaid local agencies for costs incurred in responding to the San Bernardino terrorist attack.

I guess he’s fiscally conservative in some areas.

As first noted by Newsbusters and confirmed by this blogger, no major news outlets or wire services have reported on Mr. Brown’s derogatory comments toward Trump supporters. They apparently learned their lesson from reporting on Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables” remark, which has often been described as one of the former Democratic presidential nominee’s more devastating blows to her failed campaign.

But the agenda-driven silence doesn’t mean constituents are staying quiet.

John Kobylt, co-host of “The John and Ken Show” on KFI-AM in Los Angeles, and Carl DeMaio of KOGO-AM in San Diego are leading an effort to recall Democratic state Sen. Josh Newman over his vote in favor of the tax hike in an effort to eliminate the Democratic supermajority, The Washington Times’ Valerie Richardson reported.

“When Jerry Brown says we’re a bunch of freeloaders, he obviously has not looked at his own social policies that allow people to get welfare without having requirements for work,” Mr. DeMaio said. “And, of course, don’t get me started about the largesse of the pension benefits and pay for government employees.”

Republican Assemblyman Travis Allen, who said he supports the Newman recall, has also proposed a statewide ballot measure that would repeal the transportation package, which needs 365,880 signatures to qualify for the November 2018 ballot.

A cocky Mr. Brown told the Republican to “go for it,” during his interview with The County Register.

“Make my day,” he said. “Maybe people like gravel roads, but I don’t think so.”

0 Bethel U. student pressured to apologize for wearing Blackhawks shirt in class taught by Native American

  • May 16, 2017

A Bethel University student was pressured into issuing a formal apology after he offended a Native American instructor by wearing a Chicago Blackhawks sweatshirt to class.

James Jacobs, who teaches a class called “Social Perspectives, Human Worth and Social Action” at the private Christian college in Arden Hills, Minnesota, posted about the student’s offense in an April 19 Facebook post that has since been deleted.

“So your college professor is a Native American,” the instructor wrote, according to a screenshot obtained by The College Fix. “A Native American who has spoken multiple times about the offensiveness of Indian Mascots. Yet you come to class with an Indian mascot sprawled across your shirt… Bold move sir.”

It’s worth noting that the Blackhawks were named by their original owner, Frederic McLaughlin, who fought in World War I with the 86th Infantry Division, nicknamed the “Blackhawk Division.” While the military division was nicknamed after the Sauk tribe leader Black Hawk, McLaughlin named his hockey team in honor of the military unit in which he served. The appropriation of the name, as well as the team’s logo of an American Indian’s head, have come under fire in recent years for being a slur to Native Americans.

The Clarion, Bethel’s student newspaper, reported Friday that Chicago-native Cody Albrecht wore the team’s sweatshirt to Jacobs’ class the same day that students watched a documentary about the largest one-day execution in U.S. history, when 38 Dakota were hanged at the end of the Dakota War of 1862.

Other students in Jacobs’ class spoke to The Clarion under the condition of anonymity, and who could blame them after knowing that their teacher could easily blast them on Facebook for whatever thought crime of the day. The students said Albrecht had offered to turn his sweatshirt inside out after “becoming aware of the unease” that it had caused in the classroom.

But that apparently wasn’t enough for these dainty flowers. Albrecht reportedly said in his apology that he was actually contacted by the school’s social work department regarding the shirt and that he attended a private meeting with Jacobs where the two came to a reconciliation.

Jacobs wrote in an updated Facebook post that Albrecht later apologized in front of the class and acknowledged the purported torment that his shirt had caused.

“I’m glad to say that this became an incredible learning opportunity for the student we had a lengthy conversation about it and the student really listened to why those images are offensive and hurtful,” the instructor wrote. “When I posted last week I kept the students name out of it and I only posted because I didn’t expect the university to get involved, it has been my experience with other institutions in the past that situations like this would be minimized, so I really didn’t expect anything to come of it. Since that time the student has made a public apology in class and expressed what they had learned from this process.”

Jacobs said Albrecht had become the target of “some strong messages” since his identity was made public, and urged the student’s critics to knock it off.

“If you’re on campus and know of this situation please don’t send the student discouraging messages,” the instructor wrote. “They have truly matured and learned from this experience and we have taken big steps in the reconciliation process.”

Albrecht commented Saturday on The Clarion’s story, saying he was “disappointed” that it was published but acknowledged that it was “something that I have to own.”

“While I would love to focus on my intent of wearing the sweatshirt as being innocent, I have to take responsibility of the incredibly negative impact I had on this Professor,” the student wrote. “To me, I saw this as just a shirt, but to be able to attach human emotion to that shirt that was filled with so much hurt and historic oppression, made that shirt come alive to me in a whole new way.

“We are called to uphold the human worth of all people, for we are all made in God’s image,” he added. “Professor Jacobs and I both did things wrong in this situation, but the reconciliation effort between him and I and the rest of the class was beautiful, Christlike and was filled with Christ love. I welcome further conversations about this topic and want to push everyone here to seek to understand, on both sides, before pointing the finger. Let us all take on humility and seek to have love be the #1 root of all our actions.”

Barf.

This is a ridiculous example of thought policing, but the student’s groveling is no better. While his diplomacy is somewhat admirable, I would love for once to write a story about a college student who stands in defiance of conformity and tells his teacher where to shove it, but that’s almost never the case. The problem with Albrecht is that he agrees with his instructor. These kids have been brainwashed to believe that a cultural infraction, however small, is worth a public shaming.

While Albrecht has gone overboard with his apology, Jacobs has been tight-lipped on his. Where is this instructor’s public apology for shaming this student on social media? Sure, he didn’t name Albrecht in the now-deleted post but anyone who was in class that day would have immediately known who it was about. This instructor played sides, and that’s not OK.

While I appreciate Albrecht’s effort to be “Christ-like,” I can’t appreciate this growing acceptance of liberal groupthink — not just on college campuses, but nationwide. You can’t criticize Islam or you might be a bigot, you can’t question the wage gap or you might be a sexist, you can’t support Trump or you might be a fascist, and apparently, you can’t wear memorabilia of your home team because you might be a racist.

No, I’m not going to boycott my favorite sports team because your delicate sensibilities can’t handle a piece of clothing. No, I’m not going to censor myself because you haven’t developed the life skills to react appropriately to conflicting ideals. One has to wonder what would have happened if this kid had worn a Che Guevara shirt in class. Would there have even been a story to write?
